Positive: Our host, Evelyne, was very welcoming and kind. This was the perfect place for our family to explore the chateaux and swimming spots in and around Blois, with a great back garden space where our children could play. Thanks to good shutters, the house coped well with the heat of a hot summer week. It was a very quick walk to a lovely little artisan boulangerie where we joined the locals in buying our baguettes nearly every morning. And it was an easy 10 minute drive into central Blois. We were also just a short drive from good supermarkets, a swimming pool and a Decathlon.

Negative: Note that there's no toilet upstairs.

Summary: A lovely week just outside Blois
